The northernmost state of India  is Jammu and Kashmir.It is also known as "Paradise on Earth". It has a unique blend of Islamic and Hindu culture.Tourism is an integral part of Kashmir economy.Kashmir valley has been attracting tourists for centuries.Most popular places in Kashmir are Dal Lake, Srinagar, Pahalgam, Gulmarg, Yeusmarg, and Mughal Gardens, etc. The natural landscapes in the Kashmir valley has made it one of the most popular destinations in South Asia.
Jammu is known for its scenic landscapes, ancient temples and mosques, Hindu and Muslim shrines, castles, gardens and forts. It is also known as "The City of Temples".

The Amarnath Temple in Kashmir attracts about 0.4 million devotees every year. 

Buddhist Monks in Ladakh

In the previous years, Ladakh has turned out to be the major hub for the tourists. This place in the Greater Himalaya is also known as "Moon on Earth". Leh is also emerging as  a tourist spot in the previous years.
